- Start by brushing their backs in the direction of hair growth. Then, brush against the grain for a few minutes, and then for a few more minutes with the grain.
- The areas behind the ears, legs, and tail tend to get more tangled and therefore require extra attention. Don't rush, these are sensitive areas and require gentle brushing.
- Finish the brushing session with lots of affection and even a treat or toys, if your pet prefers.
